A Tarrant County man was sentenced last week to 40 years in prison for his role in the death of his 7-week-old daughter.
Zachary Watson, 26, pled guilty to one count of injury of a child, the Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney’s Office said Friday. Watson’s daughter, Noriah Helmer, died May 14 in the the ICU at Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office. The child’s cause of death is still listed as pending in the office’s online records.for allegedly allowing Watson to abuse Noriah and another child in their Euless home. She was indicted in August but does not yet have a trial date.
