Five comedians are set to shop off their skills at the sold out Stand-Up Comedy Night at Tag's Bakery and Cafe in Evanston.
Comic Jimmy Carrane has found the perfect venue for sharing his humor. It’s three blocks from his home and they serve his favorite beverage. That’s why Carrane is so enthusiastic about hosting the Stand-Up Comedy Night at Tag’s Bakery & Café at 2012 Central Street in Evanston on Oct. 21. In addition to hosting, he got to choose the other comics to share the stage with him and has selected four local favorites — Lia Berman, Lindsay Porter, Tony Castro and Laura Hugg.
“It’s like the sweetest dream come true.” Lia Berman will share the trials of motherhood at a Stand-Up Comedy Night at Tag’s Bakery & Café in Evanston on Oct. 21. - Original Credit: Handout Berman revealed that she started performing comedy about 14 years ago on a dare. “My cousin and I were talking about things we wanted to do,” Berman said. “He wanted to do photography and I said I would like to do comedy.” They dared each other to do those things. It worked out well for both of them.
