To keep them from getting broken, Levi's introduced this small pocket where they could keep their watch.’confirms that this little patch of denim is intended for storing a watch. On its website the denim giant also lists some of the other names this pouch has come to be known by over the years: ‘frontier pocket, condom pocket, coin pocket, match pocket and ticket pocket’.
