Coming to the streaming service in August: The first “Sex and the City” movie; “Four Weddings and a Funeral;” the first five installments of the “Rocky” franchise; the fifth season of “Jane the Virgin” — and much more.

Upcoming Netflix NFLX, +3.46% originals include the third season of “Dear White People,” dropping August 2; the fourth volume of Hasan Minhaj’s “Patriot Act,” arriving August 4; and the third season of “GLOW,” hitting the streaming service August 9. There are also several anime originals and a wide selection of kid-friendly offerings on the way, such as a new season of “Trolls: The Beat Goes On!” and the detective adventure “The InBESTigators.
