After the release of season 2, there is speculation that more short adventures for Groot in the MCU will be produced in I Am Groot season 3. I Am Groot first premiered on August 10, 2022, as a series of standalone shorts focusing on the then-smallest member of the Guardians of the Galaxy. While I Am Groot season 1, episode 1, takes place prior to 2017's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, the majority of the other episodes are set after the feature film .
Is I Am Groot MCU Canon? The matter of I Am Groot's canonicity to the wider MCU has been disputed among fans and the higher-ups at Marvel Studios for some time. Even Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn revealed he doesn't think I Am Groot is canon to his MCU projects, similarly to how the Team Thor One-Shots weren't canon to Thor: Ragnarok.
I Am Groot Season 3 Cast: Who Voices Groot & Will Other Guardians Appear? If I Am Groot season 3 is developed for the MCU's future, there's no doubt that Vin Diesel will be returning to voice his now-iconic character. Diesel debuted as the voice of Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy, and has done a fantastic job at delivering the words "I am Groot" with so much emotion and creativity.
