Myles Cosgrove, the former police officer who shot and killed Breonna Taylor—a death that garnered national attention and triggered widespread protests against systemic racism and police brutality—has landed a new law enforcement job.

Confirming Cosgrove’s hiring, Miller noted that he and two other white officers involved in Taylor’s shooting were not charged by a grand jury.CBS affiliate WLKY that Cosgrove joined the Department on April 20 and has already begun active duty. Cosgrove was fired by the Louisville Metro Police Department in January 2021 for violating procedures pertaining to the use of force and his failure to use a body camera during the incident.
