When you’re chasing some of the fastest race cars on earth, every second matters. That’s why, for 2023, Aston Martin has upgraded F1’s medical vehicle to one of the most powerful SUVs on sale today.the Aston Martin DBX707“We are delighted to continue our partnership with Formula 1 and the FIA this season,” said Roberto Fedel, Aston Martin’s chief technology officer.
, providing the performance and punch required for the world’s greatest racing circuits, in addition to the flexibility and space required by the sport’s officials and medics.”For its role on the racetrack, the SUV has been equipped with FIA-approved racing seats, six-point racing harnesses, and a special communication system that gives the passenger access to race control.
In addition, the interior will be kitted out with fire extinguishers, medical bags, and a defibrillator, all of which have their own special place within the SUV to make them faster to find in an emergency, and easier to check before a race.“The updated FIA Medical Car is an impressive step forward and ensures that we will keep pace in the high-speed world of Formula 1,” said Alan van der Merwen, FIA medical car driver.
