FACES OF COVID | Jerry Foley spent his life bringing joy to children across central Indiana. He died with COVID in July of 2020. Here's his story:

Thousands of Hoosiers have died since the coronavirus pandemic began in March 2020 and we know — they're more than just numbers. If you've lost a loved one to COVID-19 and want to share their story reach out to us at [email protected].

Stacey Foley and her husband, Jerry, portrayed Santa and Mrs. Claus at events around central Indiana for years.“Then he grew the goatee and it looked nice on him. Then we decided to possibly play Santa Claus so he grew the full beard. and that’s how it started,” said Stacey. There’s an entire room in their house completely devoted to Jerry’s passions. When you walk in, there are shelves filled from floor to ceiling with props, crafts, balloons, cards… anything you could imagine a magician might need.

“I just loved him so much and I miss him so much. I do know one day we’ll be together again. Because I know where he is. He’s doing magic for Jesus,” said Stacey. You can read Jerry's obituary below.
