Several 2020 candidates have weighed in on the proposed Green New Deal.
John Delaney said the deal is unrealistic and is proposing another plan to tackle the climate crisis. Elizabeth Warren, a co-sponsor, meanwhile defended it. "I have a plan for a green industrial policy that takes advantage of the fact that we do what we do best, which is innovate and create," she said.The Green New Deal would do so very many things. It's more a grab bag of progressive ideas than a detailed legislative proposal. And a lot of what it wants to accomplish has nothing to do with climate change.
