Harris County Sheriff's Office officials are investigating an early morning crash Sunday on Beltway 8.A fatal car crash shut down all lanes in a section of Beltway 8 south early Sunday, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
Around 4:20 a.m., a man in his early 30s was driving the wrong way on Sam Houston Parkway North near Woodforest Boulevard, officials said. Officers believe the man was speeding and showed signs of"possible impairment,"That driver's vehicle collided with another vehicle headed in the correct direction and both cars sustained extensive damage. One of the vehicles, a pickup, flipped over. Debris from the crash was scattered across the four lanes.
