Erik Denton's suit claims that the Los Angeles Police Department and the County Department of Child Protective Services repeatedly ignored warnings about the dangers the mother, Lilliana Carrillo, posed to the three children.

A father of three children, all of whom were allegedly killed by their mother, filed a lawsuit against the city and county of Los Angeles for allegedly failing to protect the children.

A photo shows Denton with his three kids; 3-year-old Joanna, 2-year-old Terry and 6-month-old Sierra. "There were at least 18 contact they made, in which the police department and protective services had a mandatory duty report it and to act and they did not. They repeatedly said, 'Please, protect these children,'" Casey told CBSLA.

Denton also alleges that he begged LAPD officers multiple times to put Carrillo through a psychiatric evaluation. Denton's attorney said both his client and Miller reached out to the authorities for help, but were ignored.
