FBI Director Christopher Wray visited the bureau’s Houston field office this week to voice his support for the local efforts against violent crime, as well as to announce that a Houston-area fugitive had been added to the Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list.
“Our commitment to keeping the community safe includes bringing to justice those who fuel and orchestrate the violence in our communities from outside our national borders,” Wray said. Villegas-Palomino became the seventh Houston-area fugitive added to the national list since the FBI started it in March 1950, officials said. The last time a Houston-area defendant appeared on the list was in 1999, when a national search convened to find serial killer Rafael Resendez-Ramirez, known as the Railroad Killer.
