Diwan and Vahora lived in Des Plaines, Illinois. Malvi is an Indian citizen and was"illegally residing" in Heber Springs, Arkansas, according to prosecutors. According to charging documents, Malvi tracked a package sent to Schererville, Indiana, by a Gonzales, Texas, woman who thought she was sending cash to the Drug Enforcement Agency. She'd been told by a caller that her Social Security number was being used by drug traffickers, according to the indictment. Malvi tracked other packages of cash sent from Corpus Christi and Spring to other stores in Indiana, according to the indictment.
