One play call did not lose game for Browns versus Seahawks.

CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Cleveland Browns played almost good enough to beat the Seattle Seahawks Sunday. A couple of plays here or there and the Browns could have been celebrating a fifth win and since head coach Kevin Stefanski calls the plays he naturally gets some of the blame when they aren’t successful.

The one play that sticks out In Seattle was a third-and-short with time running out in the fourth quarter and the Browns leading 20-17. Stefanski called a pass, by QB P.J. Walker, that was intercepted. The Seahawks promptly moved the ball for a TD and the win. The Monday morning QBs thought that the Browns should have run the ball because if they didn’t make the first down they still could have punted the ball, making Seattle drive further to score.

The run the ball criticism has some merit, but the Browns need to improve their play execution and commit fewer turnovers if they hope to make the playoffs this season. If you purchase a product or register for an account through a link on our site, we may receive compensation.
