Where's the fire?
In response to a Stomp query, SCDF said it was alerted to a fire at 260 Geylang Road at about 6.15pm.
"The fire involved contents of a two-storey shophouse. SCDF extinguished the fire using two water jets. Eight people self-evacuated from the affected shophouse prior to the arrival of SCDF."The cause of the fire is under investigation," said SCDF. The fire started on the second floor of the Xiao Xiang Yuan Hunan Restaurant, near the junction of Geylang Road and Lorong 12 Geylang, reportedThe Chinese daily added that a cook injured his left cheek trying to put out the fire but refused to be taken to the hospital.
