High humidity and low winds aided firefighters on the Farview blaze as they continued to lay down containment lines.
Firefighters continued to increase containment of the Fairview fire, achieving 62% containment as of Tuesday morning, Sept. 13, authorities said.
Full containment of the fire, which was originally projected for Monday, Sept. 12, is now projected to be completed Saturday, Sept. 17, fire officials said in a Tuesday morning briefing. High humidity continued to bring moisture over the fire and winds were light overnight, fire officials said. But conditions this week called for slightly warmer temperatures and drier conditions, which will keep firefighters busy with smoldering areas of the fire, officials said. No fire movement was expected, though.
