SINGAPORE - Commuters can now get a greener and quieter bus ride on a few routes in Singapore, with the first batch of 10 electric buses now being used for public transport.

Besides environmental benefits, passengers can also enjoy commuter-friendly features on these buses, said LTA. The introduction of the buses is among LTA's efforts to achieving its goal of having a 100 per cent cleaner energy public bus fleet by 2040, as stated in its Land Transport Master Plan released last year.

In a Facebook post, Tower Transit said service 66, for which it will deploy electric buses, is the longest service it offers at five hours for a round trip.
