First UFC Gym Singapore opens at CityLink Mall.

The franchise, a brand extension of the popular American mixed martial arts promotion company, already has over 160 gyms in over 14 countries. It is brought in via a partnership with local brand NF Fitness.

Barnabas Huang, UFC Gym Singapore’s managing director, told Yahoo News Singapore, “We will have access to best-qualified coaches, as well as top-notch gym-training equipment. Even if you are not an MMA fan or fighter, we will have functional and traditional fitness programmes that will be tailored to your personal fitness requirements.”

With state-of-art equipment as well as top coaches on board, the gym will aim to combine MMA and fitness, offering training for fitness enthusiasts of all ages and abilities. Some of the programmes it offers include functional workouts , MMA classes as well as group fitness classes . It has gained over 300 members since pre-sales began in January and about 1,500 more are being targeted.
