has recalled 1 million of its ionic smartwatches after receiving more than 100 reports of the battery overheating and causing some users to suffer second- and third-degree burns.in addition to the 1 million sold in the United States, another 693,000 of the watches were sold internationally.

The watches were sold at Best Buy, Kohl’s, Target and other stores nationwide as well as online at Amazon and Fitbit from September 2017 through December 2021 for between $200 and $330. Fitbit stopped making the ionic watch in 2020, the CPSC said.
