STOCKHOLM: A court in Sweden on Tuesday fined a 17-year-old for threatening Swedish footballer Jimmy Durmaz during the World Cup after he committed a foul that paved the way for a German victory.
The Swedish football federation reported the abusive comments, including many racist remarks, to police, and prosecutors singled out three posts in particular, all written by youths. Among other things, he had written"I have your address, you better watch out", and"disgusting blatte", a derogatory term in Swedish for immigrants.
