An artist has accused Epic Games of stealing their work for the popular Fortnite: Battle Royale game. (Update: It was fake.)

. They have removed the art pieces and you can no longer access the Facebook page. What a very strange thing to do. Good for Epic to take it seriously and for the community to do some digging. And shame on this person for faking this whole thing. Pretty strange and pretty shady. And very, very stupid.

The original story follows, but the tweets and other posts I linked to have all been deleted. In terms of my speculation at the end where I discuss Elon Musk and Gearbox and other instances of corporations ripping off the work of others, well, that's what made me think this story might have credibility to begin with. It's not like this hasn't happened before.
