SINGAPORE: More than 700 students from four special education schools will learn how to make e-payments, use emails and online chats by next year, as basic digital skills are incorporated into their academic curriculum.
“If they don’t catch up with this, if they are not taught … I think as a nation moving to Smart Nation, they will be even more left out." Minister for Communications and Information S Iswaran at the launch of a three-day festival on digital inclusion on Jul 26, 2019. “Building a digitally ready society is not just about ensuring that technology is accessible to all. It is also about equipping people with the skills to use the technology in ways that will enrich their lives."
