The right-wing media now claims that the mainstream press is gunning for Trump by exaggerating the coronavirus death tolls

“just said…anyone in U.S. who dies with Covid-19, regardless of what else may be wrong, is now being recorded as a Covid-19 death.”

Earlier in the Carlson segment, Hume warned that “lots of people are asymptomatic who may have other terrible diseases. And if everybody is being automatically classified…as a COVID-19 death, we’re going to get a very large number of deaths that way, and we’re probably not going to have an accurate count.”Others in right-wing media have piled on.

The lesser Limbaugh, Mark Levin, was one of the theory’s earliest adopters. “I cannot find anywhere the definition of what it means to die from this virus,” the BlazeTV and Fox News host said on March 30, suggesting that “heart failure, heart disease, a heart attack” may account for an “inflated” number of reported COVID-19 fatalities.
