The upstate man charged in the heartless cold-case killing of an NYPD detective’s daughter was back on the streets taking his dog for a casual walk after prosecutors botched the case.
McDonald sought out Holley to buy marijuana just hours before she was killed while sitting in her 1991 Mercury Sable, cops said.the case hit a serious snag Edward Holley, 42, was charged last month in the March 14, 2003 slaying of Megan McDonald, his ex-girlfriend. Last week, Holley was released without bail after Orange County prosecutors failed to get an indictment in time.Megan McDonald, 20, was killed in upstate New York on March 14, 2003. Her body was later dumped on a walking patch nearby. The case remained unsolved until last month, when her ex-boyfriend, Edward Holley, was charged in the case.
