Is The Futurama Universe Actually A Simulation? One of the biggest questions in the aftermath of the season 11 finale has to do with the main Futurama timeline. Throughout the episode, Amy, Farnsworth, and the rest of the gang become convinced that they are living in a simulation created by a greater universe.
At the end of the finale, Bender's body in the real Futurama world wakes up, to the surprise of everybody. Nobody knows how Bender came back, and they really don't question it. However, it is implied that this Bender is actually a new Bender, with a greater universe jacking the AI of its Bender into the main Futurama universe. Although this isn't confirmed, it has been speculated that this is the case.
