A new G.I. Joe game based on the iconic franchise, titled G.I. Joe: Wrath of Cobra, has been revealed at The MIX Next Showcase.
Who is making G.I. Joe: Wrath of Cobra?
Developed by Maple Powered Games and published by Freedom Games, G.I. Joe: Wrath of Cobra is a beat ’em up that lets you play as several iconic G.I. Joe characters in up to four-player online or couch co-op. It includes an arcade mode and story mode and features pixel art, cartoon cutscenes, and music from Tee Lopes and Crush 40 lead vocalist Johnny Gioeli. The game is set to release in Q1 of 2024 for the Nintendo Switch, PC, Mac, and Linux.

Joe franchise where the stakes are higher and the weapons are bigger,” reads the game’s description. “Thwart the conniving Cobra Commander in battles set at iconic locales like Cobra Island and the Pit. Explore Story or Arcade mode alone or with a squad via couch co-op.”“G.I. Joe is an absolute classic franchise with one of the best fanbases,” Kerry Vandenberg, co-founder of Maple Powered Games stated.
