Duck Creek, one of Garland’s main waterways, is scheduled for a cleanup.
Want to help keep the waterways in Garland clean?The cleanup date is Saturday, May 14, from 9 a.m. to noon. Volunteers will meet at 3858 S. Glenbrook Drive. If it rains, the event will be postponed to May 21.
Duck Creek is part of a larger water shed, the city said in a press release. Anything deposited in the watershed eventually flows to lakes, creeks and streams.
