A chemical spill near a care home creates havoc in the fictional town of Dambury as Baby Boomer zombies are unleashed on Gen Z teens
Flesh-eating Baby Boomers with a taste for teenagers may seem an unlikely premise for a new Channel 4 comedy series.Wheatley said the show sits within the “world of horror” but is also a disaster movie, setting up the characters and how they deal with the approaching catastrophe which has happened outside the fictional town of Dambury.The show is set in the fictional location of Dambury, a small town with little going on and the last place you’d expect the apocalypse to begin.
That is until they abruptly find themselves at the centre of the virus, when one of their nans becomes infected and goes on the attack.is a horror comedy with something to say about intergenerational relations and the issues facing teenagers today.The first of the six episodes will air on Sunday from 9-10pm, with the second shown on Monday 28 October at 9pm.Sue Johnston leads the cast as OAP zombie Cecily.
Lindsay said: “He’s a curious character who knows more about what’s happening than he says initially. “You may be older, but there are still good parts out there”, she added, “You’ve just got to be open to them.”Ava Hinds-Jones plays Billy, a lone rnager who left Dambury to join the army.She said: “She’s strong and fearless but also a vulnerable 22-year-old trying to figure out her life.
