'Good Morning America' anchor George Stephanopoulos, 59, says he hasn't had 'any of the classic symptoms you've been reading about.'
While Wentworth, 55, described her experience as"never been sicker," Stephanopoulos, 59, says he hasn't had"any of the classic symptoms you've been reading about."
"I've never had a fever, never had a cough, never had shortness of breath, never had chills," he told co-anchors Robin Roberts and Michael Strahan, noting that he feels"great." Roberts shared that she had been worried about Stephanopoulos because he didn't seem like himself. He joked that it was probably due to him broadcasting from home, rather than the illness.
As for actual symptoms, Stephanopoulos noted some lower back pain and one day where he had a diminished sense of smell but"that has really been it," he shared. In updating"GMA" on his wife's health in early April, he said Wentworth had all the classic symptoms and that they were quarantining at home. "We are basically acting to the outside world as if we have it. … We are staying inside the house," he said. "I am the only one who goes in and out. Somebody does have to take care of her. That’s me.”
