The Seminoles are back in the preseason rankings for the first time since 2018, and in the top 10 for the first time since 2017.Since the AP preseason poll started in 1950, 11 teams that started No. 1 also finished No. 1. Only two of those have occurred since 2000: Southern California in 2004 and Alabama in 2017.
