Daniel Jones was ready to return from a neck injuryIn his NFL debut, DeVito came on in relief of Taylor midway through the second quarter of the Giants’ 13-10 overtime loss to the Jets. DeVito completed just two of seven passes for minus-one yard. He also ran four times for 12 yards, including a six-yard touchdown early in the third quarter that gave the Giants a 10-7 lead.
• He began his college career at Syracuse and played there from 2017-21, before finishing up at Illinois in 2022.• DeVito went undrafted this year, and the Giants signed him as their No. 3 quarterback.
