Switzerland's Givaudan SA (GIVN.EB) said Tuesday that first-quarter sales rose on the back of double-digit growth in its fragrance and flavor divisions. Sales in the quarter rose 17% to CHF1.53 billion, said Givaudan, which makes scents, flavors and active cosmetic ingredients. The comapny's fragrance division reported sales of CHF677 million, up 12% from the same period a year earlier and boosted by the acquisition of Expressions Parfumees and Naturex last summer.
