The ITV Good Morning Britain team were forced to make a last minute change to the line-up after Richard Madeley was unable to host the programme due to falling 'poorly'
Richard Madeley fans were left wondering where the Good Morning Britain favourite was on Tuesday morning, only to find Sean Fletcher filling in for him at the last minute.
He laughed, telling Kate and the ITV audience: "So we wish Richard all the best, I get up in the morning and I log into the running order at home. I see my initial by all the stories that you would already have. Then I saw my initial on every other story.", reports the Mirror. Embracing his moment away from the sidelines, Sean quipped it was nice to be in the game rather than just reporting it, while Kate sent her best wishes to their usual colleague, saying, "As you say, we wish Richard all the best. Hopefully, he'll be feeling better later today."
Good Morning Britain's audience seems to be over the moon with Sean Fletcher taking the lead, with a flurry of viewers advocating for him to take on the role full-time. A delighted fan tweeted: "At last, @SeanFletcherTV is in the hot seat. Llongyfarchiadau Sean. I've been saying for ages to give you a chance in the main presenter's seat."
