PETALING JAYA: The government has consolidated all of its enforcement agencies to monitor illegal routes into the country, says Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
The Defence Minister, in his daily briefing on the updates of the conditional movement control order Monday , said for the first time, the government had created a special task force comprising enforcement agencies headed by the armed forces to monitor porous borders on sea and land.
"I have not made this public, but we have already arrested those traffickers , who have tried to bring in illegals using such routes," said Ismail Sabri. "They followed the SOPs but they contracted the virus either from an outsider who was infected and passed it to them, or from one of them having gone outside and then contracted it, and returned and infected the others.
