Sen. Bernie Sanders , a co-sponsor of the resolution and leading presidential candidate, voted present with the rest of the Democratic caucus. Republicans have railed against Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Sen. Ed Markey’s resolution as a “disastrous socialist vision” and “a big green bomb.”
