Overall, the latest Department for Education figures show a slight decline in the number of pupils off school due to bubble closures, but school leaders in high outbreak areas say the national figures 'mask' what's happening across some regions of the country. 'What the government needs to do now is start talking to schools about September. School leaders are already thinking about plans for the start of the next term.
