We had our first really good frost of the fall last week and many places north of us even had their first snowfall. So snow will be on its way here sooner…

Many folks talk about putting the garden to bed. What this means is all the little jobs we do in the fall to prepare for the winter. I’m sharing a basic list of the things I do in my garden. Tidy up the place where you store your tools so that the tools’ heads are up and the handles down to prevent the handles from roughing.Put away yard art. Winterize the lawnmower once you are sure you will not need it any more. I use mine to mulch leaves, so I don’t winterize it until the snow falls. Make last-minute journal entries of all the changes needed for next year and all the positives about this year.
