It’s totally reasonable to take family vacations together after being divorced, if that works for everyone. It’s also totally reasonable to not do that. What bothers me just slightly about your letter, and what might also bother your ex-wife, is that you’re not stopping the vacations because you have changed your mind about providing a sense of normalcy for the kids. You’re stopping because you want to make sure your new relationship continues to progress.
Your “it’s time to move on” should be articulated in terms of their well-being, without centering the direction of your current relationship, which may or may not last. When it comes to the wealth, well, not having access to all the money you used to is one small part of why divorce can suck! Your ex-wife has to know that.
