The company also announced that it will be reducing salaries for the senior executive team by 50% and hiring only in "essential positions." The National Restaurant Association is asking the federal government for financial relief for the industry as it forecasts sales declines of $225 billion over the next three months.
"Motivated by desire to help some of the most valuable members of the baseball community, each Club has committed $1 million," MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred said in a statement.
