Adam Sandler and Christopher McDonald returned to their "Happy Gilmore" characters' golf rivalry to celebrate the film's 25th anniversary. The comedy classic “Happy Gilmore” was released in theaters 26 years ago.
The Adam Sandler screwball fan favorite, which follows a hockey player-turned golfer with a foul mouth and a strong long game, grossed 38.8 million dollars in its theatrical run. Almost assuredly, two people who contributed to that total were the parents of Indiana golfer Landon Gilmore, who since the age of six has started to go by the nickname “Happy.”
On Friday, the junior Happy Gilmore announced his future plans, as he tweeted out his commitment to Ball State University to play golf. “I am very excited to announce that I have committed to continue my academic and golf career at Ball State University. I am very grateful for the opportunity Coach Fleck has given me! I would like to thank my family, my friends and coaches who push me everyday!
