Hornets Sign Jalen Crutcher, Anthony Duruji, Jaylen Sims, Isaiah Whaley - RealGM Wiretap
The Charlotte Hornets have signed a foursome to what are expected to be training camp contracts. Charlotte inked Jalen Crutcher, Anthony Duruji, Jaylen Sims and Isaiah Whaley to deals.
Crutcher attended camp with the Hornets prior to last season. The 6-foot-2 point guard then played for the Greensboro Swarm of the G League. in 33 games, Crutcher averaged 16.2 points and 5.9 assists per game. Duruji is a 6-foot-7 wing who went undrafted out of Florida. As a senior, Duruji averaged 8.6 points and 4.1 rebounds per game for the Gators.
Sims went undrafted at the 2022 NBA Draft out of UNC Wilmington. The 6-foot-6 wing averaged 16.4 points and 5.8 rebounds per game as a senior for the Seahawks. The 6-foot-9 Whaley went undrafted out of Connecticut. The big man averaged 7.7 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game for Huskies as a senior.
