A House subcommittee is holding a hearing to assess the federal government’s transparency and accountability regarding UFOs’ possible threats to U.S. national security.
The House Oversight Committee’s subpanel for national security is slated to hold a hearing at 10 a.m. Eastern Wednesday on “unidentified anomalous phenomena,” also called unidentified flying objects or UFOs.
“We’re bringing in credible witnesses who can provide public testimony because the American people deserve the truth,” said Republican Rep. Tim Burchett of Tennessee in a news release issued last week ahead of the hearing. “We’re done with the cover-ups.” The hearing “will explore firsthand accounts of unidentified anomalous phenomena and assess the federal government’s transparency and accountability regarding UAPs’ possible threats to U.S. national security,” the release also said.
