The night will be warm and humid. Rain chances will increase through the night, but the highest chances will be well west of Harris County. Heavier rains are expected around Colorado County and points west.The showers and thunderstorm that will start the day out west will move their way east throughout the day.
Scattered thunderstorms are forecasted throughout the region, but the strongest storms will occur west of Interstate 45. Temperatures will rise into the lower 80s.The stormy forecast will continue into Sunday. By the end of the weekend, some parts of the region might see accumulated rain totals of 3 inches. The amounts will be higher in places hit by isolated thunderstorms.john.ferguson@houstonchronicle.
