Andy Cohen was “surprised” to hear Bethenny Frankel launched a “Real Housewives” podcast, but isn’t about to turn down more publicity around the Bravo franchise.
Frankel — who has been on and off of “The Real Housewives of New York City” since its premiere in 2008 and— announced her podcast “Rewives” recently, despite often being vocal about her disdain for the series. “I was a little surprised,” Cohen admitted to Page Six at the Humane Society gala last week, “but again I was like, ‘Oh, this is good, good for you.’ The more ‘Housewives’ podcasts the better.”
Not all of Frankel’s former colleagues have been as supportive about the new business venture as Cohen.“It’s pretty sad and pathetic,” the cabaret singer said on “Everything Iconic.” “She has to resort to ‘Housewives’ because of all her failed pivots since the ‘Housewives.’ It’s a pretty desperate scenario.”rewiveswithbethennypod/Instagram“Oh lordy…how original,” Radziwill — who starred on “RHONY” from 2012 to 2018 — tweeted when a fan asked what she thought about Frankel’s podcast.
“But she did build her brand by trashing& mocking women specifically the HWs & Betheny always returns to what she does best. I mean right out the gate she trash talks the other HW podcasts. Lol. Good luck to her. Somethings will never change,” Radziwill added.NBCU Photo Bank/NBCUniversal viaNBCU Photo Bank/NBCUniversal via
