How one nonprofit is bringing attention to World Water Day:
663 million people worldwide lack access to safe, clean water. But the water crisis is something Charity: Water thinks it can fix."It feels like an overwhelming number," says Tyler Riewer, the nonprofit's brand content lead."It can be solved." And onCharity: Water is a fundraising outfit that distributes money to local partners all over the world who are, in Riewer's words,"actual experts in building water projects.
That is, until Charity: Water stepped in to install a well in the community, bringing it safe, accessible water year-round. The organization also interviewed more than 400 residents of Adi Etot about their experiences and is now making a push on World Water Day to spread those stories.project asks users questions about their own lives, then matches them up with the story of someone in Adi Etot who is, well, like them.
