The most promising senior prospects have one last chance to impress before the NFL draft, when the North takes on the South in the Senior Bowl.
Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert and his Oklahoma counterpart Jalen Hurts are among those hoping to bolster their profile ahead of the draft.of the year, projecting Herbert to be the selected with the fourteenth overall pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers—the lowest of four quarterbacks to be picked in the first round.
In his first season with Oklahoma since transferring from Alabama, Hurts finished with 3,851 passing yards, 32 touchdowns, adding 1,298 rushing yards and 20 scores on the ground. "All three guys competed really well," Detroit Lions head coach Matt Patricia, who coaches the North Team, told NFL.com. Meanwhile, Notre Dame wide receiver Chase Claypool, who finished with 1,037 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns this season, South Carolina Bryan Edwards and USC Michael Pittman are arguably the key wideouts.
