Wuhan ended its 76-day coronavirus lockdown last week — here's how Wuhan residents are reacting
just after midnight on April 8 — 76 days after the government ordered the restrictions to curb the spread of the coronavirus on January 23.
Another local man who hadn't been out of his house since January 21 said he felt "much better and refreshed." Liu Jia, a passenger departing from the city's Hankou railway station, said the epidemic had delayed her plans to go home during the Chinese New Year holiday in January. She said her family asks her every day: "When are you coming home?"
Another plane passenger, Xu Yuanyuan, was traveling with her young son. Concerns over the length of the flight and tight quarters onboard the plane did not make the choice to leave Wuhan easy for her.
