A man had an unexpected encounter with a monitor lizard at a multi-storey carpark in Woodlands on Aug 28.shared with Stomp a video of the huge reptile that was under a car at Block 708A Choa Chu Kang Street 53. "I spotted it under a car on Monday and it was still there when I went to work on Tuesday ," he said.
"I called the Animal Concerns Research and Education Society and was told to check again later in the evening.", monitor lizards are naturally shy and would rather stay away from humans and will not attack unless provoked or cornered.In the rare event of being bitten, one should seek medical attention immediately. Although monitor lizards do secrete venom, it is not fatal to humans. The main concern would be a bacterial infection from the bite.
