For me, it trudges up memories of my body making life unnecessarily difficult . My body has been too big to fit into standard clothing sizes. It's also, at times, been too thin to fit into the plus-size community. Too tall for my male crushes to look in my direction without cowering. Too muscular to have what I thought was a typical girl's figure yet too soft for a successful competitive teen athlete .
