Berkeley resident and author Michael Lewis is known for conducting interviews while hiking in the Berkeley hills. Such was the case when he met the subject of his latest book “Going Infinite: The Rise and Fall of a New Tycoon.
Not a great sign for the state of SBF’s fitness. The Wildcat Gorge Trail, not to be confused with the Wildcat Canyon Trail, starts at Lake Anza and is a 3.4-mile loop. The first leg is flat, shaded and winds along the Wildcat Creek. From there, the hike climbs for about a mile and a half, passing near Tilden Park’s Inspiration Point. With a moderate grade and intense sun exposure, this is easily the most difficult section of the trail. I’d worked up a sweat by the time I made it to the top.
